Eye Examinations for 800 Students – Manahari School ( April 2023 )
“Sight is a gift, and seeing is an art.” — George Perkins
In our ongoing commitment to improving the lives of children in Nepal, the Neeko Foundation recently conducted eye examinations for 800 students in a remote school. Of these 800 students, there was vision problem for 43 students. Some needed medicine while others needed glasses. All the expenses were covered by Neeko foundation. This initiative reflects our belief that good vision is not just essential for learning but also for the overall well-being of children. Many students in remote areas lack access to basic healthcare services, including eye care, and through this endeavor, we aimed to bridge that gap. By providing eye examinations to these 800 students, we have not only identified and addressed potential vision problems but also empowered these young minds with the gift of clear vision. Good eyesight is crucial for effective learning, and our hope is that this initiative will open up a world of opportunities for these students, allowing them to excel in their studies and pursue their dreams without hindrance.
